The main road into The Thanet area is the A299, better known as the Thanet Way, it runs eastward from the London direction and is a major road in the county of Kent, England, and runs from Brenley Corner near Faversham (where it merges into the M2) to Ramsgate via Whitstable and Herne Bay. Driving eastward past Herne Bay on the A299 (also know as the Dual Carriageway) you will arrive at the A28 roundabout junction. Turning right takes you southward towards Canterbury, proceeding straight ahead takes you towards Ramsgate, you must take the left turning northwards
heading towards Birchington (sign posted). You are now on the A28 also know as Canterbury Road, follow this roads towards Margate (about a 10 minute drive). There are frequent high speed trains to Margate from London, which take around 1 hour and 30 minutes. Hop on at St Pancras International, London Victoria or Charing Cross. . Our nearest train station is Margate Train Station. For train times and rail enquiries please see Southeastern.
